Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ZapTodo ("we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the ZapTodo mobile application for iOS ("App" or "Service").
Agreement to TermsBy downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
Capacity to AcceptBy accepting these Terms, you represent and warrant that:
• You are at least 13 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you have obtained parental or legal guardian consent
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
You accept these Terms by:
• Creating an account in the App
• Accessing or using any features of the Service
• Continuing to use the Service after we post changes to these Terms
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Description of Service
ZapTodo is a task management and productivity application designed exclusively for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad).
What ZapTodo OffersThe Service provides the following features:
• Task creation, organization, and management
• Project and list organization
• Task prioritization and categorization
• Reminders and notifications
• Offline and online functionality
• Multi-device synchronization across your iOS devices
• Data backup and sync to secure cloud infrastructure
Currently, ZapTodo is available exclusively as:
• iOS mobile application for iPhone and iPad
• Requires iOS 14.0 or later
• Available for download through the Apple App Store
Please note the following about the current version of the Service:
• The Service is designed for individual use
• Team collaboration features are not currently available
• All tasks and projects are private to your account
• We may introduce additional features in the future
We reserve the right to:
• Modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service
• Add new features or functionality
• Change the Service's availability or technical requirements
• We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email
The Service is provided for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Account Registration and Security
To use the Service, you must create an account using one of our supported authentication methods.
Account CreationYou can create an account using:
• Apple Sign-In: Authentication through your Apple ID
• Google Sign-In: Authentication through your Google account
When you create an account, you agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account information up-to-date
• Maintain the confidentiality of your Apple ID or Google account credentials
• Use only one account per person
• Not create accounts using false or misleading information
To create and use an account:
• You must be at least 13 years of age
• Users under 18 should obtain parental consent
• We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
• We may terminate accounts that violate age requirements
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account:
• Protect your Apple ID or Google account credentials
• Enable two-factor authentication on your Apple or Google account
• Do not share your account access with others
• Log out from shared or public devices
• Use a secure device and internet connection
You are fully responsible for:
• All activities that occur under your account
• Any content created or uploaded through your account
• Any purchases or subscriptions made through your account
• Actions taken by anyone using your account credentials
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account:
• Notify us immediately at privacy@zaptodo.com
• Change your Apple ID or Google account password
• Review your account activity for suspicious actions
• We will assist you in securing your account
You may not:
• Create multiple accounts for the same person
• Share your account with other users
• Transfer or sell your account to another person
• Use another person's account without permission
• Create accounts for automated or fraudulent purposes
Violation of these account requirements may result in immediate termination of your account.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service in a lawful and respectful manner. This section outlines prohibited activities and behaviors.
Prohibited Activities Illegal ActivitiesYou may not use the Service to:
• Violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
• Engage in any illegal or criminal activity
• Facilitate or promote illegal activities
• Violate export control or sanctions laws
You may not:
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks
• Bypass, circumvent, or disable any security features or access controls
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems
• Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
You may not:
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Overload, flood, or spam the Service
• Use the Service to transmit spam or unsolicited communications
• Create excessive accounts or use the Service excessively
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or hack the Service
You may not:
• Infringe on our intellectual property rights or those of others
• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our software or content
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without permission
• Create derivative works based on the Service
You may not:
• Create fake or fraudulent accounts
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Provide false or misleading information
• Engage in fraudulent payment activities
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
You may not:
• Scrape, collect, or harvest data from the Service without permission
• Access or collect information about other users
• Use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools
• Violate the privacy rights of others
While your task content is private, you may not use the Service to create or store:
• Content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
• Content that contains malware or harmful code
• Content that violates export control laws
If we introduce collaboration or sharing features in the future, you agree not to:
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate or offensive content
• Spam or send unsolicited messages to other users
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:
• Immediate suspension or termination of your account
• Removal of prohibited content
• Legal action if violations constitute criminal activity
• Reporting to law enforcement authorities
• Permanent ban from the Service
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
User Content and Ownership
This section explains the ownership and usage rights related to the content you create and store in ZapTodo.
Your Ownership RightsYou retain complete ownership of all content you create in ZapTodo:
• Tasks, projects, and lists you create
• Notes, descriptions, and comments
• Any other data or content you input
• We do not claim ownership of your content
• Your content remains your intellectual property
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
• Host and store your content on our servers
• Process and sync your content across your devices
• Display your content back to you through the App
• Make backup copies to prevent data loss
• Use your content solely to provide and improve the Service
This license:
• Is limited to operating and improving the Service
• Does not allow us to sell or share your content with third parties
• Does not grant us rights to use your content for advertising
• Automatically terminates when you delete your content or account
You are solely responsible for:
• All content you create, upload, or store in the Service
• Ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload
• Not uploading content that infringes on others' rights
• Maintaining your own backups of important data
• Any consequences arising from your content
Your content is private to your account:
• We do not share your tasks or projects with other users
• Collaboration features are not currently available
• Your content is only accessible to you when logged in
• We process your content according to our Privacy Policy
You may not use the Service to create or store content that:
• Violates any laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Violates export control or sanctions laws
• Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
While we implement backup systems:
• We are not responsible for loss of your content
• You should maintain your own backups of important data
• You can export your data through the App at any time
• We recommend regular exports of critical information
We reserve the right to remove content that:
• Violates these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• Is illegal or harmful
• Poses security risks to the Service
• We are required to remove by law
When you delete your account:
• All your content is permanently deleted
• This action is immediate and irreversible
• We do not retain backups of deleted content
• You should export any important data before deletion
Subscription and Payments
ZapTodo offers both free and premium subscription plans. This section explains billing, payments, and subscription management.
Subscription Plans Free PlanThe free version of ZapTodo includes:
• Basic task management features
• Limited functionality
• Access to core features
• No payment required
Premium subscriptions unlock advanced features:
• Unlimited tasks and projects
• Advanced organization and filtering
• Priority customer support
• Additional customization options
• Future premium features as they become available
All payments are processed through Apple Pay:
• Payment is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store
• We do not directly process or store your payment information
• Apple's terms and conditions apply to all payments
• You must have a valid Apple ID and payment method on file with Apple
Premium subscriptions work as follows:
• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled
• You will be charged at the beginning of each billing period
• Billing is managed through your Apple ID subscription settings
• Renewal occurs 24 hours before the current period ends
Subscription pricing:
• Current pricing is displayed in the App and on the App Store
• Prices may vary by region and currency
• Apple may apply taxes based on your location
• We reserve the right to change prices with notice
• Price changes will not affect your current billing period
If we change subscription prices:
• We will notify you at least 30 days in advance
• The new price will apply to your next billing period
• You can cancel before the price change takes effect
• Continuing your subscription after notice constitutes acceptance of the new price
You can cancel your premium subscription at any time:
• Cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings
• Access to premium features continues until the end of your current billing period
• You will not be charged for subsequent periods after cancellation
• Your data remains accessible, but premium features will be locked
• You can resubscribe at any time
Refund policies are governed by Apple:
• All refund requests must be made through Apple, not ZapTodo
• Apple's refund policy applies to all purchases
• We cannot process refunds directly
• Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries
• Refunds are at Apple's sole discretion
We may offer free trials of premium features:
• Trial periods and terms will be clearly stated
• You may be required to provide payment information
• Trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges
• One trial per user
If payment fails:
• Apple will attempt to collect payment
• Your subscription may be suspended if payment cannot be collected
• Access to premium features will be restricted
• Update your payment method through your Apple ID settings

Intellectual Property
The Service and all related intellectual property are owned by ZapTodo. This section explains our intellectual property rights and restrictions on use.

• The ZapTodo name, logo, and trademarks
• The Service's design, user interface, and user experience
• All features, functionality, and technology
• Graphics, images, icons, and visual elements
• Text, content, and documentation
• Source code, object code, and algorithms
• Updates, modifications, and derivative works
Our intellectual property is protected by:
• Copyright laws
• Trademark laws
• Trade secret laws

• International intellectual property treaties
• Other applicable laws and regulations
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
• Download and install the App on your iOS devices
• Use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Access the features and functionality we provide
• Use the Service in accordance with these Terms
This license:
• Does not grant you ownership of the Service
• Is limited to the scope described in these Terms
• Can be revoked if you violate these Terms
• Automatically terminates when your account is terminated
You may not:
• Copy, reproduce, or duplicate the Service or any part of it
• Modify, adapt, alter, or create derivative works
• Distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Attempt to discover the source code
• Circumvent or disable any security features
• Use the Service to create a competing product
You may not use our trademarks without written permission:
• The ZapTodo name and logo are our trademarks
• You may not use our trademarks in your business name or products
• You may not create confusion about the source of goods or services
• You may not use our trademarks in a way that disparages us
• Contact us for permission to use our trademarks
You may not:
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices
• Remove proprietary legends or markings
• Claim ownership of our intellectual property
• Use our materials without attribution (where required)
The Service may use third-party components:
• Third-party software is subject to their respective licenses
• We respect the intellectual property rights of others
• Open source components are licensed under their respective terms
If you provide feedback or suggestions:
• You grant us the right to use your feedback without compensation
• We may implement suggestions without obligation to you
• Feedback does not create any confidentiality obligation
• We own any implementations based on your feedback

Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action and termination of your account.
Termination
Either you or ZapTodo may terminate your account and access to the Service. This section explains how termination works and its consequences.
Termination by YouYou may terminate your account at any time:
• Delete your account through the App settings
• Contact us at privacy@zaptodo.com for assistance
• No advance notice required
• No termination fees apply
When you terminate your account:
• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• All your data is permanently deleted from our systems
• Your premium subscription will not be refunded (contact Apple for refunds)
• Access to the App and your content will be lost
• Termination is permanent and cannot be undone
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
• You violate these Terms of Service
• You violate our Acceptable Use Policy
• You engage in fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity
• Your account poses security risks to the Service
• Your payment method fails repeatedly
• You create multiple accounts to abuse the Service
• You attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
• We are required to do so by law
We may temporarily suspend your account:
• While we investigate suspected violations
• To prevent ongoing harm or abuse
• For non-payment of subscription fees
• During suspension, you cannot access the Service
• We will notify you of the reason for suspension
• Suspension may be converted to termination
For terminations by ZapTodo:
• We will provide notice when reasonably possible
• Notice may be sent to your registered email
• We will explain the reason for termination
• In cases of serious violations, we may terminate immediately without notice
• You may contact us to appeal the termination
Upon termination of your account:
• Your license to use the Service terminates immediately
• You must stop using the App
• All your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• You lose access to all content and features
• Outstanding payment obligations remain due
When your account is terminated:
• All your personal information is deleted immediately
• Your task data is permanently removed
• We do not retain backups of deleted accounts
• Export your data before termination if needed
• This process is irreversible
If you have an active subscription:
• Cancel your subscription through Apple before deleting your account
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription
• You remain responsible for managing your Apple subscription
• Contact Apple for refund requests

After termination:
• You may create a new account if eligible
• Previous data cannot be recovered

• Your data will never be lost or corrupted (maintain your own backups)
We are not responsible for:
• The availability or performance of Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
• Apple Pay payment processing
• Third-party cloud infrastructure
• Your internet connection or iOS device
• Apple App Store availability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ZAPTODO BE LIABLE FOR:
Indirect and Consequential Damages
WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business
• Loss of data or content
• Loss of goodwill or reputation
• Business interruption
• Cost of substitute services
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON:
• Contract
• Tort (including negligence)

You are solely responsible for:

• Any consequences of your actions in the Service
We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including:
• Acts of God, natural disasters
• War, terrorism, civil unrest
• Government actions or regulations
• Internet or telecommunications failures
• Third-party service failures
• Other events outside our control
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZapTodo and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses.
Your Indemnification ObligationsYou agree to indemnify and hold ZapTodo harmless from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and legal costs) arising from or related to:
Your Use of the Service
• Your access to or use of the Service
• Your tasks, content, or data stored in the Service
• Your interactions with the Service features
• Your use of third-party authentication services (Apple, Google)
Violations of These Terms
• Your breach of any provision of these Terms
• Your violation of our Acceptable Use Policy
• Your violation of our intellectual property rights
• Any other breach of your obligations under these Terms
Violations of Law or Rights
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights
• Your violation of any third-party privacy rights
• Your violation of any other third-party rights
Your Content
• Any content you create, upload, or store in the Service
• Claims that your content infringes on others' rights
• Claims that your content is illegal or harmful
• Any consequences of your content
Your Negligence or Misconduct
• Your negligent or willful misconduct
• Your fraudulent activities
• Your unauthorized or improper use of the Service
• Any harm caused by your actions
Under this indemnification obligation:
• We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification

• To reflect changes in the Service or new features
• To comply with legal or regulatory requirements
• To address security or technical issues
• To improve clarity or correct errors
• For any other legitimate business reason
When we make changes to these Terms:

• For material changes, we will notify you through the App

• Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arises

• You waive any statute of limitations to the contrary
• This limitation applies to all claims and theories of liability

• All disputes must be brought in an individual capacity
• You waive the right to participate in class actions
• You waive the right to class arbitrations
• You may not consolidate claims with other users
• This waiver is binding and enforceable
Notwithstanding the above:
• We may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court
• This applies to protect our intellectual property rights
• This applies to prevent unauthorized use of the Service
• We may seek such relief without posting bond
If you access the Service from outside the United States:
• You do so at your own initiative
• You are responsible for compliance with local laws
• These Terms still apply
• You consent to the application of United States law
Additional terms apply because the App is distributed through the Apple App Store:
• These Terms are between you and ZapTodo, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
• Apple may enforce these Terms against you
• You comply with all applicable third-party terms when using the App
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable:
• That provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary
• The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect
• The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid provision that closely matches the intent
